Scope

460,000-square-foot office campus

Challenge / Description

Designed to answer 21st-century needs, Hamilton Landing is a new 460,000 square foot office campus with breathtaking views, open space recreation areas, a sense of tradition and history, and a creative work environment for the new millennium.

Barker Pacific Group, Inc. (BPG) completely transformed seven former Hamilton Air Field airplane hangars into very innovative first class office space; making Hamilton Landing the largest multi-tenant development in Marin County history.

Seven hangars were renovated in multiple phases for a total of 406,000 rentable square feet of first class office space. The final phase, an additional parcel with zoning and architectural approval (to be built), will add 54,000 square feet to the complex.

Features

  • Comfortable diffused lighting, expansive operable windows, and ceiling heights ranging from a minimum of 11 feet to a maximum of 38 feet, providing a dramatic volume of space with an open truss design.
  • Each building includes shower and locker facilities for employees to use before and after workouts. The YMCA also has an extensive facility in the project.
  • The modern elevated flooring system provides access for distribution of power, telecommunications, and air supply, with energy efficiency and superior air quality. Fiber-optic telecommunications system provides substantial bandwidth with the latest in wireless technology also available.

Acquired in 1998. The project was completed in 2006 and sold in 2015.
