Challenge / Description

Property Description

  • The 626 Wilshire Boulevard building was constructed in 1967 by C.L. Peck Contractors. C.L. Peck was one of the L.A.’s major construction contractors in the 1960s and 1970s. The bronze plates they cemented in the sidewalk of the building declare their excellent craftsmanship.
  • 626 Wilshire Boulevard building was built as a Class “A” structure for the headquarters of its owner, State Mutual Savings & Loan.

Barker Pacific Group increased the occupancy to 98% from 32% in just over a year after Barker Pacific Group’s acquisition in late 2003.
